This report, co-authored with Professor Stephen Bullivant, examines recent patterns in religious belief and practice across the island of Ireland using large national and international survey datasets. It highlights key trends in affiliation, Mass attendance and generational change, also exploring areas where Ireland diverges from wider European patterns. The report received coverage in national media including The Irish Times, RTÉ and The Irish News.

4 Corners Festival kindly asked me to speak on the theme of The Grief of Dreams Unrealised in February 2023. I spoke from 40:35-52:20 in this video, reflecting on experiences learning more about my childhood Church and my response to this as I grew up. I was very happy to participate in this event, which was part of the impactful work of the 4 Corners Festival.
We were honoured to receive a request from a donor to organise an event for all. The speakers and discussion explored the high profile, topical and important issue of assisted dying. It was an opportunity to inform and communicate with people of all views and faiths.
Dr. Dominic Whitehouse, a palliative care consultant and Jack Valero, a communications expert and founder of Catholic Voices speaking. Bishop Alan McGuckian SJ gave opening remarks.
