About me

Image of FaithVersed Founder, Emily Nelson. Depicts a young woman with glasses and long brown hair.

Emily Nelson

My background as a pharmacist developed my interest in science, statistics and strategy. Following on from a part time job helping organise events at my university Chaplaincy and several volunteering roles, I went on to complete a Master’s in Theology at St. Mary’s University, Twickenham, London, in which I achieved a distinction. For my dissertation, I conducted a sociological study of Catholic Disaffiliation in Northern Ireland.

This knowledge and experience has lead me onto working for Christian organisations and charities to assist with their strategic development.

This passion and drive has led me to undertake a part-time PhD in Sociology at Queen’s University Belfast, studying Catholic Disaffiliation on the Island of Ireland. I do this alongside my work in a mutually complimentary manner.

If you’re interested in exploring how your organisation might benefit, I’m happy to have a discussion and see if I can be of use to you or if there are ways in which you can achieve your goals independently.
